Aussie Moto 2 star Anthony West has been banned by the FIM from riding in Moto2 for one month following a test that proved positive for Methylhexamine, a banned substance.
The banned substance is often used in nasal sprays, decongestants and dietary supplements.
West has also been stripped of any points from the French round of Moto2 held back in May 2012 at Le Mans.
West is able to appeal within a 5 day period from today’s notification.
