Be at the heart of the TT action with one of the brilliant one, two or three-bed pre-pitched tents at the Metzeler Village on the Isle of Man.

Open between 31 May and 9 June 2018, the village is right next to Quarterbridge. For the sixth consecutive year, visitors staying in the large tents can ride or fly to the home of road racing without having to carry any camping gear – everything’s already set up for you.

The site has full washing and shower facilities, 24 hour security, motorcycle parking with a private hard standing, free WiFi, free phone charging and a chill-out zone complete with satellite TV to catch up on all the racing. There’s also a swimming pool, gym and spa available at an additional cost.

The campsite is located at the National Sports Centre on Groves Rd in Douglas, Isle of Man IM2 1RB. Bookings can be placed now at and we encourage you to be quick as – like all the places to stay on the Island – the popular village fills up fast.

Anyone is welcome, and those staying at the Metzeler Village receive a discount on breakfast at the sports centre. Anyone who arrives on Metzeler tyres will get breakfast for free!

BikeSocial has teamed up with the Metzeler Village to offer one two-person tent from Wednesday 6 June 2018 (from 14:00) to Saturday 9 June (until 10:00). Complimentary breakfast vouchers will be included, along with sleeping bags, air beds, a lantern and free WiFi.

Terms and conditions apply

How to get there

By ferry: Only the Steam Packet Company operates, sailing from Liverpool, Heysham, Dublin, Larne and Belfast. The fastest way is by the Mannan hydrofoil, but you can’t take a bike on there, so if you’re riding, take the Ben My Chree ferry. Book as quickly as possible, as tickets sell out very fast.

By air: Several companies fly to the Ronaldsway Airport on the Isle of Man, but only via England and Ireland. The airport’s 20 minutes from Douglas by taxi, a little more by bus (from the station on site). As with the ferry, you need to book as soon as possible.

Getting around

The Isle of Man has an efficient public transport system, with buses and rail covering most of the island, or there’s an affordable selection of taxi companies.

Bus Vannin is the main public transport network, serving the entire island along with the Manx Electric Railway and the Snaefell Mountain Railway. Tickets and schedules can be found in the main bus/rail stations, and in the welcome centre at the sea terminal.

Taxi cabs are available outside the airport and the sea terminal, or can be called at the numbers below. Car hire companies are also at these two locations, with free parking around the island by displaying the parking disc that comes with the rental car.
